Is it bad that even though I’ve heard of and seen them, the only thing I know about the axiom is that it shares a name with this thing?

IMHO one of the best-looking SUVs ever built, and an excellent form factor for most buyers. Suzuki seems to have some really good products from time to time (Axiom, Vehicross, XL-7/Grand Vitara) that get zero marketing or promotions. Even the Kizashi, which was supposed to be a big comeback for them in the midsize segment...it's basically an exotic.

This is true. You are mixing Suzuki and Isuzu together (I’ve done this too), but they both make amazingly great cars from time to time that don’t get enough appreciation.

Wow, you're right...I just named two from each. In any case, yes — both made arguably better cars than the mainstream, but proved that marketing and dealer support were the weak links in their (lack of) sales.
